INDUCTIVELY COUPLED PLASMA-MASS SPECTROSCOPY (ICP-MS)

ICP-MS is a testing technique to determine the elemental analysis of the deposit material in question. Testing is based on the ionization of atoms by means of sustained argon plasma. Positive ions are accelerated into the mass separation device to be separated by mass/charge in the quadrupole or by mass and momentum in the Electrostatic Analyzer (ESA). ICP-MS is a highly effective technique for identifying the elemental components of a sample.
